Two days a week during your stay, participants will learn to prepare typical Spanish dishes. These workshops aim to follow the evolution of Spanish cuisine from typical stews to the currently recognized avante garde gastronomy of Spain.
A. BILBAO

Bilbao, the coastal city in the Basque Country, has been internationally recognized. Awarded the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize, considered the nobel prize of urbanism, Bilbao underwent an amazing transformation from a polluted, industrial center to a tourist-friendly and pleasant town surrounded by green hills. It is home to modern structures, such as the Guggenheim Museum and the Zubizuri Bridge. Bilbao is also famous for the many bars and restaurants where visitors can enjoy its renowned gastronomy in a lively urban environment.

MADRID

Madrid, Spain’s largest and capital city, is an essential visit. The elegant boulevards, internationally recognized art museums, impressive parks and historical buildings have converted this bustling metropolis into an attractive tourist destination known throughout the world.
POSSIBLE OPTIONS OR VISITS:
Going out for tapas around a quintessential quarter of Madrid with a vibrant, eclectic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

SANTANDER

Relax and enjoy discovering this coastal city’s natural beauty, its extraordinary gastronomy, it’s kind people and its vibrant cultural life. Majestic buildings and palaces from the 19th century stand out in this urban setting, where the bourgeois would vacation and enjoy the grand beaches of the area.

VISIT TO A BODEGA
Lerma or Santo Domingo de Silos
Visiting a bodega in the Ribera del Duero region allows one to truly experience and understand this successful wine denomination. One can smell it’s land, contemplate its vineyards and appreciate the dedication and care that goes into every detail. Guests will visit a bodega designed by Norman Foster which has become an integral part of the landscape, atmosphere and wine of the region.

One of the excursions will be a visit to Bodega Portia (Portia Winery). We will discover the Spanish wine culture by practicing gastronomic vocabulary.
Bodega Portia . The only bodega in the world designed by Sir Norman Foster, the famous and prestigious English architect, who is an icon in the world of wine.
This Bodega opens its doors in a very exceptional and personal way . Every visit allows one to see up close the process and history of making wine.
The impressive Vanguardia architecture of this bodega was recognized in 2011 by the Royal Institute of British Architects as the best designed European building.
Nearby are well-preserved and historical towns such as Lerma, La Villa Ducal, where you can eat one of Spain’s most famous specialties: roasted lamb, and Santo Domingo de Silos, whose monastery will transport you to the mystery of the Benedict Abby that has more than a thousand years of history.
